This cannibalization wizard is used when you select No on the
Cannibalization Setup dialog box and the cannibalization action must be
done expeditiously without ordering a replacement part for the defective
component to fix the down aircraft immediately. The replacement part
will be ordered at a later time when workload permits. Use the Back and
Next buttons to move through the dialog boxes. For the complete fourstep process, see the following topics:

This dialog box appears with two tabs: Select Repairable and Select
Consumables. The box reflects information on the removed component,
its WUC/UNS, where the component was removed, and where it is
installed. The box is for viewing only to ensure that before continuing the
process, the data is validated to be correct.
1 Click Next.
The Source Aircraft Part/Position Selection dialog box appears. 2 Go to Step 2 (see "Step 2 - Source Aircraft Part/Position Selection"
on page 387).
Step 2 - Source Aircraft Part/Position Selection
This dialog box identifies the component's system, part, WUC/UNS, and
its position as the source from which the cannibalized part will be

The Removal/Install Signatures and Serno Entry dialog box appears.
3 Go to Step 3 (see "Step 3 - Removal/Install Signatures and Serno
Entry" on page 391).
Step 3 - Removal/Install Signatures and Serno Entry
This dialog box enables you to identify the serial number of the
component that was removed, to be installed on the target aircraft
WUC/UNS, part, and position.

The Cannibalization Work Order Fill In dialog box appears. 2 Go to Step 4 (see "Step 4 - Cannibalization Work Order Fill In" on

This dialog box containing the description, system reason, work center,
and the create/received date enables you to identify the cannibalization
work order that was filled in for the target aircraft. This cannibalization
work order was filled in for the target aircraft with the component's
position, nomenclature, and DDSN, which is to be determined at this

3 On the Aircraft VED, respond to the Print prompt accordingly.
4 The Aircraft VED reappears, which reflects a new Incomplete
