Unformatted text preview: ct WUC/UNS Properties, or select the WUC/UNS and go to the Edit menu and select WUC/UNS Properties or click the WUC/UNS Properties button . 3 On the WUC/UNS dialog box, click Create Part No on the Part No. tab. The Part [NEW] dialog box appears with four tabs and a check box labeled "Preferred." 4 Select the Preferred check box if the part being created is a PRIMARY part and not a substitute. 5 On each tab, enter the required data and click OK. The new part number with its related data appears on the right side of the Assembly Explorer. This process automatically adds the part number to the Parts Catalog. For Parts Catalog: 1 Open the Parts Catalog (see "How to Access the Parts Catalog" on page 298). 2 Click Create Part. 3 On the Part [New] dialog box, enter data in the tabs as required and click OK. This process adds the new part to the Parts Catalog. Identity This topic is for future development. 274 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA Duplicate a Part Number The Duplicate Part No or Duplicate Part option in the Assembly Explorer, WUC/UNS dialog box, and Parts Catalog enables you to copy the attributes of an existing part number to create a new one. # To copy the attributes of an existing part number to create a new one in the Assembly Explorer: 1 Open the Assembly Explorer (see "How to Access the Assembly Explorer" on page 266). 2 Right-click the item in the tree view and select WUC/UNS Properties or click the WUC/UNS Properties button . 3 Click the Part No. tab on the WUC/UNS dialog box. 4 Right-click the specific part number and select the Duplicate Part Number option and WUC/UNS dialog box, or click the Duplicate Part No. button . The Part [Duplicate] dialog box appears with prefilled fields. 5 On the Identity tab, change the Part Name and Part Number. Change Inventory Class and Subclass, Bitmap and CAGE as needed. 6 On the Detail tab, change the Model and Revision information as applicable. 7 On the Description tab, type a brief description in the block. The Applicability tab shows a listing of other assemblies that the component is assigned to.
