Assign Usage Parameter The Data Source dialog box enables you to select a usage parameter in the Usage Parm listing to a different data source. To select the data source and display the Data Source [ ] dialog box, see Data Source (on page 252). 1 In the Data Source dialog box, click the usage parameter and click the Assign Usage Parm button . The system displays the Usage Parm Assignment dialog box that lists the data sources for the assembly item. 2 In the Usage Parm Assignment dialog box, select the applicable usage parameter. 3 Click Apply or OK. The usage parameter is added to the Usage Parm listing for the selected data source. Usage Parm Assignment This dialog box contains all possible usage parameters that may be applicable to any number of assemblies that exists in the database. It enables you to appropriately select the usage parameter and assign it to an assembly or component by clicking the OK button. For procedures, see Assign Usage Parameter (on page 256). Unassign Usage Parameter The Data Source dialog box enables you to remove a usage parameter from a data source. 1 On the Data Source dialog box, select the usage parameter and click Unassign Usage Parm. The system displays the Usage Parameter [ ] dialog box listing the usage parameters assigned to the data source. 2 Select from the displayed list the usage parameter you want to remove from the selected data source. 3 Click Unassign Usage Parm. 4 Click Apply or OK. The usage parameter disappears from the usage parameter listing for the selected data source. Chapter 4 Configuration Management and Logs & Records Subsystem 257 Task Plan Definition Tab The Task Plan Definition tab on the Assembly Catalog displays a listing of task plans for a selected assembly in the upper area and the related plan steps for the selected task plan in the lower area. It describes the scheduled maintenance, primarily the Phase inspection and its breakdown, interval, and usage parameters. Task Plan - is a grouping of tasks in a common configuration. Special, Conditional, and Phase Inspections can be considered task plans. Task Plan Steps - are the individual inspections in those plans. The tab enables you to create, view or modify, duplicate, or delete task plans for a selected assembly item. It also enables you to create, view or modify, duplicate, or delete task plan steps for a specific task plan definition. You can either right-click in each area to display a shortcut menu or click the appropriate toolbar button to perform a process.
