Unformatted text preview: on Work Center This window enables you to add or delete work centers against an inspection task that exists in the database maintenance table. The window displays a command button, Assign Work Centers, and the Sort and Filter utilities. 1 Open the specific VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Go to the Table Maintenance menu and select Inspection Work Center. 3 If you have multiple aircraft models, use the Filter (see "Usage Records Tab" on page 227) utility to specify the Assy Cd, Inspection, and Work Center Assignment indicators. 4 Double-click a specific inspection entry or click Assign Work Centers. ! If the Work Center Assigned? Field has an N, you can add a work center to it. ! If the Work Center Assigned? Field has a Y, you can either modify or delete the work center previously assigned. The Inspection Work Center Assignment dialog box appears with the task name and Assy Cd including two buttons: Add and Delete. Note: In a multi-organization environment, each organization is responsible for assigning work center(s) to specific inspections. 5 To add a work center, click Add on the Inspection Work Center Assignment dialog box. The Org Code and Work Center blank fields appear. 482 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA 6 Enter the work center. Once entered, the work center is automatically assigned the responsibility to complete the task. 7 To delete a previously assigned work center, click Delete. This process removes the assigned work center from the task and changes the Work Center Assigned indicator to N. Inspection Work Center Assignment This dialog box enables you to add or delete a work center against an inspection task. For procedures, see Inspection Work Center (on page 481). ALS Configuration The ALS Configuration box enables you to set the number of days (minimum of 14 days) you want the completed work orders to appear in the ALS Queue. Authorized personnel must review and approve work orders before or on the 14th day. Otherwise, the system will automatically complete the work orders on the 15th day or on the day following the maximum number of days the ALS Configuration is set, and then sends these work orders to history. 1 Open the specific VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Go to the Table Maintenance menu and select ALS Configuration. 3 Type the number of days you want the completed work orders to remain in the ALS Queue (the default is 14 days). 4 Click OK to set the configuration to the number of days entered. Online Processing The Online Processing menu options enable authorized/qualified personnel to perform a variety of functions in their areas of responsibilities. These responsibilities include assigning project/priority to maintenance parts to be ordered, screening and inspecting the entries on work orders before signing off the completed work orders as they go through screening, inspection, and completion processes.
