Unformatted text preview: 150 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA Group Explorer The Group Explorer enables you to view the selection groups on the left side, beginning with the INBOX, which is the default, OUTBOX, and PRIMARY and its inventory folders and detachments as group breakdown. The right side displays the tabs related to the selected group on the left: Inventory, Personnel, Incoming Inventory, Incoming Personnel, and Offloaded Items. Depending on your SMQ assignments, you can create, view, update, or delete groups (inventory folders and detachments), relocate inventory items (aircraft, equipment, or components), and transfer inventory items out of your organization. Inventory Folder Processing Inventory folders (SE, ALSS, MME) are groups of like items to facilitate record upkeep and other inventory data. The Create Group option of the Group Explorer enables you to create, modify, or delete a folder. A folder can be created at a current or next level to denote the folder's relationship to the parent organization (PRIMARY). For procedures, see the applicable topic listed under "In This Section." Create an Inventory Folder The Create Group option in the Group Explorer enables you to create an inventory folder for specific inventory items (SE, ALSS, MME). 1 Open the Group Explorer (see "How to Access the Group Explorer" on page 151). 2 Right-click the PRIMARY selection group, choose Create Group, then Folder, and select Current Level or Next Level, or select go to the Edit menu, choose Create Group, and select Current Level Folder or Next Level Folder. ! Current Level means the folder is created at the same level as the PRIMARY. ! Next Level means the folder is created supplementary to the PRIMARY. 3 The Group dialog box appears. For more information, see Group (on page 179). 4 On the Group dialog box, select INV as the Group Type. 5 Enter data in the remaining fields and click OK. For more information, see Inventory Folder Processing (on page 150). Chapter 4 Configuration Management and Logs & Records Subsystem 151 Modify an Inventory Folder The Group Properties option in the Group Explorer enables you to modify properties of an existing inventory folder. 1 Open the Group Explorer (see "How to Access the Group Explorer" on page 151). 2 Right-click the inventory folder that you want to modify and select Group Properties, or select the Inventory folder and go to the Edit menu and select Group Properties or click the Group Properties button . 3 The Group dialog box appears with information on the inventory folder. 4 Modify the appropriate fields, and click OK. For more information, see Inventory Folder Processing (on page 150). Delete an Inventory Folder The Delete Group option in the Group Explorer enables you to delete an inventory folder.
