The Maintenance Control JCN/Work Center Assignment window reappears with the selected WUC/UNS appearing in the field. 10 When you have completed the entries and modifications, click the Approve Work Order button . The system displays the new JCN and work center assignments for the work order. 11 Click OK and respond to the Print prompt accordingly. 12 When selecting multiple work orders for processing, click the Next Work Order arrow button and follow steps 3 through 6. 13 Click Close to return to the VED. WUC/UNS Selection The WUC/UNS selection dialog box enables you to select a General WUC/UNS or WUC/UNS by an Assy Cd or Part Num when initiating a work order in any VED. The Assy Cd option reflects all WUC/UNS for the selected inventory item. General WUC/UNS shows those codes that begin with zero (0) and numbers ranging from 30-90. Part Num WUC/UNS displays all part numbers associated with the WUC/UNS listing in part number sort sequence. The box contains a Search Criteria field, which can be used to narrow down the list by using the wild card feature either by WUC/UNS or by Description. Some of the WUC/UNS are color-coded, which are explained on the right side of the dialog box. # To select the Assy Cd WUC/UNS, General WUC/UNS, or Part Num WUC/UNS when initiating a work order: 1 Open the specific VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). Chapter 5 Maintenance Subsystem 351 2 Right-click the specific VED item and choose Initiate, then Recurring, and select Unscheduled -orChoose Initiate, then Recurring, and select Unscheduled, or Fix Phase, or Contingency Processing. 3 Select the WUC/UNS option (Assy Cd, General WUC/UNS, or Part Num WUC/UNS). 4 Select the appropriate WUC/UNS or Part Number. 5 Click the Select WUC/UNS button. The selected WUC/UNS appears on the WUC/UNS field of the work order. 6 Click Cancel to return to the previous window. # To search WUC: Choose the criteria to search using: WUC/UNS (All), WUC/UNS (displayed only), or Description (displayed only). 1 To search using the WUC/UNS (All) option, do the following: ! Enter the WUC/UNS in the Search Criteria field. ! Click Find. The system locates the WUC/UNS and highlights it. ! Click the Select WUC/UNS button. The WUC/UNS is added to the work order. 2 To search using the WUC/UNS (displayed only) option, do the following: ! Enter the first number of the WUC/UNS. The left side searches for the number. For instance, if number 9 is entered, the left side displays all WUC/UNS beginning with 9. ! Select the appropriate WUC/UNS. ! Click the Select WUC/UNS button. The WUC/UNS is added to the work order. 3 To search using the Description (displayed only) option, do the following: ! Enter a known description of the WUC/UNS. ! Click Find.
