Unformatted text preview: te a Near Due Inspection for ALSS This option enables you to initiate a work order against a specific ALSS item that has reached its due time/date. 1 Open the ALSS VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). Chapter 5 Maintenance Subsystem 453 2 Right-click the Serno, choose Initiate, select Inspections/ Removals, and select Inspections. 3 On the Inspections - ALSS window, enter the Assy Cd and Serno for a specific ALSS in the Assy Cd and Serno boxes. For all ALSSs, click Clear to clear the Assy Cd and Serno boxes. 4 Select the specific intervals (Days, Hours, Events, and Phase) or leave them blank for all intervals and click Retrieve. The lower portion of the window displays all inspections and its related information based on the criteria used. The inspection row that appears in red indicates that the inspection is overdue and must be performed immediately. 5 To issue a specific inspection, select the applicable inspection, and then click Initiate. The Related Inspections dialog box appears with those items requiring similar inspections. a) Select each related inspection or select all by pressing the Shift key and pointing to the last inspection that highlights all inspections. b) Click OK to assign a control JCN alongside the Print prompt. or Click None to assign a control JCN alongside the Print prompt for a specific inspection. or Click Cancel to discontinue the initiation process. 6 Respond to the Print prompt accordingly. 7 Click Clear to initiate another inspection work order. 8 Click Close to return to the ALSS VED. Initiate a Conditional Inspection for ALSS 1 Open the ALSS VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Right-click the Serno, choose Initiate, then Inspections/Removals, and select Inspections. 3 On the Inspections - ALSS window, enter the Assy Cd and Serno for specific ALSS. For all ALSS, leave the Assy Cd and Serno fields blank. 4 Check the Conditional box and click Retrieve. The lower portion of the window displays all conditional inspections applicable to the Assy Code. 5 Select the specific conditional inspection and click Initiate. The Control JCN(s) appears alongside the Print prompt. 6 Respond to the Print prompt accordingly. 7 Click Clear to initiate another inspection work order. 454 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA 8 Click Close to return to the ALSS VED. Initiate a Preservation/Depreservation Inspection for ALSS 1 Open the ALSS VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Right-click the Serno, choose Initiate, then Inspections/Removals, and select Inspections. 3 On the Inspections - ALSS window, enter the Assy Cd and Serno for specific ALSS. For all ALSS, leave the Assy Cd and Serno fields blank. 4 Check the Preservation/Depreservation box in the upper left area and click Retrieve. The lower portion of the window displays all types of Preservation/Depreservation inspections applicable to the Assy Code. 5 Select the specific type of preservation and click Initiate.
