Unformatted text preview: nventory Explorer" on page 193). 2 Right-click the inventory item and select Delete Inventory, or select the item, go to the Edit menu, and select Delete Inventory or click the Delete Inventory button . 3 Click Yes on the Delete Record prompt stating that other items attached to the inventory item will also be deleted. 4 Click OK on the Delete Inventory prompt box stating that the inventory item and the associated sub-items are deleted. 5 Click Yes on the Delete Inventory prompt box stating that the deletion process is successful. 6 Verify that the item is deleted in the PRIMARY selection box. This process completely removes the item from the database. Inventory Explorer - Update Usage Parms from Baseline The Update Usage Parms from Baseline option in the Inventory Explorer is a utility that enables you to update the usage made by the BLM to any aircraft and component from the baseline. The system updates the usage internally. 1 To update usage for the entire aircraft: ! Open the Inventory Explorer (see "How to Access the Inventory Explorer" on page 193). ! Right-click the specific aircraft MODEX and select Update Usage Parms from Baseline. 2 To update the specific component: ! Open the Inventory Explorer (see "How to Access the Inventory Explorer" on page 193). ! Right-click the specific aircraft MODEX and select the specific component. Chapter 4 Configuration Management and Logs & Records Subsystem ! 215 Right-click the specific component and select Update Usage Parms from Baseline. 3 To update usage for the entire tree: ! Open the Inventory Explorer (see "How to Access the Inventory Explorer" on page 193). ! Go to the Utilities menu and select Update Usage Parms from Baseline. Evaluate Item Completeness The Evaluate Item Completeness option from the Actions menu of the Inventory Explorer enables authorized personnel to align the newly added items and their properties to the database, or to update an item and its properties. This option is an internal process that updates the changes to the database. Duplicate ALSS Inventory Structure The Duplicate ALSS Inventory Structure option from the ALSS folder of the Inventory Explorer enables you to duplicate (clone) ALSS inventory. This option is applicable to assemblies with an assembly code of YP_ _. 1 Open the Inventory Explorer (see "How to Access the Inventory Explorer" on page 193). 2 On the Inventory Explorer window, click the drop-down arrow and the INBOX, OUTBOX, and PRIMARY selection group appears. 3 Click to expand the PRIMARY selection group. 4 Select the specific ALSS folder and click to expand it. 5 Double-click the folder to display all ALSS inventory. 6 Right-click the ALSS inventory item that you want to duplicate and select Duplicate ALSS Inventory Structure. 7 At the Duplicate ALSS prompt box, click Yes. 8 At the ALSS Inventory Assembly dialog box, enter the Serial Number and Organization Code, where you want to create the duplicate inven...
