This primarily involves a tracked assembly. 1 Open the Assembly Explorer (see "How to Access the Assembly Explorer" on page 266). 2 Right-click the WUC/UNS on the left side of the Assembly Explorer and select Create Sub-WUC/UNS, or go to the Edit menu and select Create Sub-WUC/UNS, or click the Create Sub-WUC/UNS button . The WUC/UNS [NEW] dialog box appears. For procedures on the WUC/UNS dialog box, see WUC/UNS (on page 294). Delete WUC/UNS The Delete WUC/UNS option in the Assembly Explorer enables you to delete a sub-WUC/UNS from a tracked assembly (component). 1 Open the Assembly Explorer (see "How to Access the Assembly Explorer" on page 266). 2 Right-click the sub-WUC/UNS item on the left side of the Assembly Explorer and select Delete WUC/UNS, or click the item and go to the Edit menu and select Delete WUC/UNS, or click the Delete WUC/UNS button . 3 Click Yes on the prompt to confirm the delete action. Modify WUC/UNS Properties The View or Modify WUC/UNS option in the Assembly Explorer enables you to view or modify the properties of a selected WUC/UNS. 1 Open the Assembly Explorer (see "How to Access the Assembly Explorer" on page 266). 2 Right-click the WUC/UNS in the tree view and select WUC/UNS Properties, or click the WUC/UNS and go to the Edit menu and select WUC/UNS Properties or click the WUC/UNS Properties button . The WUC/UNS dialog box appears with various tabs. 3 Click each tab and enter changes as needed; otherwise, click OK. For procedures on the tabs, see WUC/UNS (on page 294). Convert an Untracked Component to Tracked The Convert to Tracked option in the Assembly Explorer enables you to convert an untracked component into a tracked one. This conversion is done upon the Cognizant Field Activity (CFA) recommendation after a technical directive modification or when the component's historical and maintenance records require that the component's life be tracked. 1 Open the Assembly Explorer (see "How to Access the Assembly Explorer" on page 266). 2 Right-click an Untracked item in the Assembly Explorer then select Convert to Tracked. The Convert to Tracked WUC/UNS dialog box appears. 3 Select the corresponding WUC/UNS to which the selected untracked WUC/UNS will be attached. 4 Click OK. This process moves the untracked WUC/UNS to the Tracked WUC/UNS structure. Convert to Tracked WUC/UNS This dialog box appears when converting an untracked component to tracked.
