Unformatted text preview: rk request from the work order request queue: 1 Open the specific VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Go to the Online Processing menu and select Work Request Queue. 3 Select the specific work request you want to process. 4 Go to the Actions menu and select Delete. -orClick the Delete button . This action removes the work request from the Work Request Queue and deletes it from the database. Maintenance Control Queue To access this window, go to the Online Processing menu and select Maintenance Control Queue or double-click the MC column heading from any VED. It displays a list of all completed work orders awaiting Maintenance Control's rejection (disapproval) or approval; maintenance managers perform these tasks. A special icon appears to the extreme right of a work order to indicate that it has been previously disapproved by Maintenance Control managers and requires verification to ensure that it contains a corrective action by the CDI/QAR. 1 Open the specific VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Go to the Online Processing menu and select Maintenance Control Queue. 488 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA 3 Select a specific work order from the list. -orSelect all by pressing the Ctrl and Shift keys at the same time, selecting the last work order, and then clicking Select. The Work Order Update - Basic Work Order window appears with the cursor on the Maintenance Control box. 4 To select the next MCN, click the drop-down list of the MCN box. For procedures, see the applicable topic listed under "In This Section." Approve a Completed Work Order This process is part of the Maintenance Control Queue that enables you to sign-off completed work orders. 1 Open the specific VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Go to the Online Processing menu and select Maintenance Control Queue. 3 On the Maintenance Control Queue window, double-click the work order to select it. -orClick it then click the Select button . -orGo to the Actions menu and select Select. 4 On the Work Order Update - Basic Work Order window, click the Maintenance Control field. 5 Type the login ID in the Maintenance Control field and press Enter. Note: In instances when an assembly (engine, APU, ejection seat, main rotor head, MME, missiles, gun, and ALSS) is removed, the Outstanding Work Orders dialog box appears to ensure the Maintenance Control manager is aware of outstanding work orders against the assembly. The box contains a prompt that a user can signoff or delete the work orders. 6 On the Privilege Login response box, type your login ID and password and then click OK. 7 At the Print prompt, respond accordingly. This process moves the work order from the Maintenance Control Queue window to the Historical Work Order Queue. Disapprove a completed work order This process is part of the Maintenance Control Queue that enables you to disapprove completed work orders, to be returned to the CDI/QAR Queue for further test, inspection, or correction. 1 Open th...
