Chapter 5 Maintenance Subsystem 423 8 Click Close to return to the Active Work Order Query window. Delete a Work Order This option from the Basic Work Order Update enables the CDI/QAR to delete a work order in its entirety provided there are no man-hours involved and/or the work order has not been signed off by the CDI/QAR. 1 Open the specific VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 2 Double-click the inventory serial number and the Active Work Order Query window appears. 3 Right-click the work order and choose Update and select Repair. The Basic Work Order Update window appears with the boxes prefilled. 4 Right-click anywhere in the shaded area and select WO Delete. 5 In the Delete Request prompt box, click Yes and the Reason for Delete box appears. Clicking No discontinues the process. 6 In the Reason for Delete box, enter the reason why you want to delete the work order and then click OK. Clicking Cancel discontinues the process. 7 In the Delete prompt box, click OK and the Modify Discrepancy for Delete box appears. 8 Enter the modification to the discrepancy as necessary and then click OK. The work order moves to the Work Order Audit Trail Queue. This option enables the Maintenance Control Managers to change the aircraft status U (up) to either D (down) or P (partial) and its associated SCIR code of specific work order that is initiated as non-SCIR related but known to impact the aircraft readiness at any point during the maintenance period. 1 Open the Aircraft VED (see "Open a VED" on page 342). 424 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA 2 Right-click the item to display the Basic Work Order Update window. Right-click the specific work order and select Update and the work order section. 3 On the Basic Work Order Update window, right-click anywhere on the right side above the Discrepancy field and select SCIR Change. 4 On the Privilege Login response box, type your Login and Password, and then click OK. 5 On the SCIR response box, select the appropriate aircraft status, and then click OK. 6 Respond to the Print prompt accordingly. Note 1: The SCIR change feature does not allow a change of aircraft status from D (down) to P (partial) or U (up), or P to U. It is always from an Up status to either Partial or Down.
