Inventory Explorer - Window Description The Inventory Explorer is divided into three areas: the selection group box on the upper left, the breakdown of the inventory items, and the tabs that display details for the highlighted inventory item. The group selection box lists the area where assets, formed detachments, and uninstalled components are currently located. The inventory list includes all assets, (aircraft, equipment, and components) within the PRIMARY activity. Clicking the sign expands the list. The expanded list reflects the WUC/UNS structure of the selected aircraft by systems and their breakdown. The breakdown contains HAS PART NUM or NO PART NUM icons . The HAS PART NUM identifies a WUC/UNS as having a part number established in the database but not installed, while the NO PART NUM identifies a WUC/UNS as not having a part number established in the database. In this case, the BLM needs to be contacted if a part number must be established against a specific WUC/UNS. The group selection box displays the following selection groups: INBOX Lists inventory items coming to your activity as requisitioned material or transfer items. OUTBOX Lists any designated items for transfer out of your activity. Your Activity (PRIMARY) Lists your activity's entire inventory, including ALSS, SE, MME, and assemblies and components that are removed from an aircraft but not processed to relocate or transfer to another activity. Groups Lists all detachments or folders (SE, ALSS, MME) associated with the PRIMARY activity. Chapter 4 Configuration Management and Logs & Records Subsystem 195 Items in the tree view are categorized as "Class" items (for example: aircraft, assembly, tracked item, untracked item). For a list of inventory classes and subclasses, see Inventory Classes and Subclasses (on page 39). Other task selections are available when you right-click an item on the tabs. These tasks are also available as toolbar buttons. For procedures, see Common Utilities and Functions in Explorers and Catalogs (on page 129).
