Unformatted text preview: ALCOMIS OMA Subsystems - Material Control Subsystem This subsystem enables Material Control Personnel to add, update, or delete information in the Material Control Register. The Material Control Register appears in situations that place material requisitions on order, on update status, or to reject or transmit these requisitions to NALCOMIS IMA. Material Control processing is the interface between NALCOMIS OMA and the supply centers (IMAs). This subsystem supports all the requirements of OPNAVINST 4790.2 (series) for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. For procedures in accomplishing tasks in Material Control Subsystem, see Material Control Subsystem Description (on page 495). Overview of Optimized NALCOMIS OMA - Optimized NALCOMIS OMA Subsystems - Personnel Subsystem This subsystem enables authorized personnel to add or remove personnel, to assign or remove roles and permissions through SMQs, and to assign work centers for personnel. It also allows authorized users to view and update crew data, as well as time and landing history for aircrew personnel. For procedures in accomplishing tasks in Personnel Subsystem, see Personnel Subsystem Description (on page 511). Ad Hoc Query Utility Ad Hoc is a utility in the NTCSS environment that allows a user to create customized queries to meet NALCOMIS OMA application requirements. When you access Ad Hoc in NALCOMIS OMA, you will be in the Expert mode. To access help for the window, press Ctrl+F1 to display the Expert Mode help. For a complete guide for using Ad Hoc, select Ad Hoc Query in the application. Once you have accessed the utility, click User Guide Help Topics from the Help menu. 8 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA Platform Software Interface Subsystem This subsystem permits transfer of information from systems onboard "smart" aircraft directly into NALCOMIS OMA. It has the capability to strip data from "smart" aircraft and separate it by flight. This information is then processed by the Flight Subsystem before submission upline. This information includes Structure Fatigue data, strain gauge data, engine LUI and diagnostics data, EMS data, flight control system data, position data, avionics system data, fault codes, and component life time/cycle data. The subsystem provides a pilot/maintainer debrief capability with fully integrated IETM, an engine/aircraft diagnostics/prognostics capability, and a support of PEDD and Automatic Identification Technologies. Platform Software Interface The Platform Software Interface Subsystem is the access point for aircraft specific modules (platforms) from within Optimized NALCOMIS OMA (OOMA). The modules are different management information systems (MIS) that can only be accessed by authorized personnel with assigned specified Special Maintenance Qualifications (SMQs) through NALCOMIS OOMA or through each standalone MIS icon from the desktop.
