Select an Away/Simulator Flight Document for Query This dialog box enables you to query an Away/Simulator flight document. 1 Double-click the flight document to select it. 2 Click Print to print the flight document or click the tabs to view data as described in Query a Flight Document (on page 96). Select Any Flight Document for Query This dialog box enables you to query any flight document in the database. 1 Double-click the specific flight document to select it. 2 Click Print to print the flight document or click the tabs to view data as described in Query a Flight Document (on page 96). Interface Flight Documents from SHARP/FIST The Interface Flight Documents from SHARP/FIST option enables you to load a 3½" floppy disk that contains the aircrew and flight documents created by a SHARP/FIST-capable activity to the Optimized NALCOMIS OMA Flight Subsystem. SHARP/FIST activities are capable of initiating aircrew and flight documents using their system similar to the Optimized NALCOMIS OMA, but with limited validation. These documents must be loaded to Optimized NALCOMIS OMA to go through a full validation process before updating the aircraft usage and aircrew historical records in the existing database. 1 Open Flight Document (see "How to Access the Flight Subsystem" on page 60). 2 Go to the File menu, choose New, and select Interface Flight Documents from SHARP/FIST or click the Interface Flight Documents from SHARP/FIST button . The Importing Flight Document(s) response box appears prompting you to insert the disk in drive A. 3 Insert the disk and click Yes. 98 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA The system reads the disk and adds the flight documents to the current file with a status indicator of 2. Status 2 means the flight documents came from an external source and must go through a full validation. 4 Once the import process is completed, validate the documents.
