Unformatted text preview: ee view and click the Usage Records tab. 3 Right-click the entry in the Usage Record tab and select Create Usage Record, or highlight the entry and click the Create Usage Record button . 4 On the Select a Datasource dialog box, click the applicable data source. The Usage Record [New] dialog box appears with all associated type usage relevant to the inventory item. 5 On the Usage Record [New] Entry tab, modify the Collection Date as needed in DD-MMM-YYYY format. 6 Type new values in the new value fields; these values can be Hour, Lndg counts, etc. 7 Click Apply or OK. The Usage Record and Usage Data appear in their respective areas. Select a Datasource This dialog box enables you to select an applicable data source for a selected inventory item when creating a usage record. For procedures, see Create a Usage Record (on page 227). Usage Record This dialog box enables you to view or modify an existing usage record, or manually create a new one for a selected inventory item. It displays all the associated type usage relevant to a selected inventory item. The record has a collection date that defaults to the present date. However, this date can be modified to the actual date when updating the type usage. For procedures, see the following topics: ! Create a Usage Record (on page 227) ! Modify Usage Record Properties (on page 228) Modify Usage Record Properties The Usage Record Properties option on the Inventory Explorer Usage Records tab enables you to view or modify usage record properties for a selected inventory item. Note: EXCEPTION - You can only update the flight records through the Flight Subsystem. 1 Open the Inventory Explorer (see "How to Access the Inventory Explorer" on page 193). 2 Select the inventory item in the tree view and click the Usage Records tab. 3 Select the usage record that you want to view or modify and click the Usage Record Properties button . Chapter 4 Configuration Management and Logs & Records Subsystem 229 -orRight-click the usage record and select Usage Record Properties. 4 On the Usage Record [ ] dialog box, enter changes on the Collection Date and Entered Value fields as necessary. 5 Click Apply or OK. Delete a Usage Record The Delete Usage Record option on the Inventory Explorer Usage Records tab enables you to delete a manual usage record for a selected inventory item. For instance, deleting a manual flight record (MFLT) deletes the usage record from the Configuration Management subsystem. CAUTION: The process of deleting records should be done only for the most current manual records. Deleting older records will cause usage totals to be incorrect. 1 Open the Inventory Explorer (see "How to Access the Inventory Explorer" on page 193). 2 Select the inventory item in the tree view and click the Usage Records tab. 3 Right-click the usage record you want to delete and select Delete Usage Record, or select the usage record and click the Delete Usage Record button . 4 Click Yes on the prompt to conf...
