Unformatted text preview: nd click the Data Source tab. 3 On the Data Source tab, right-click the Data Source field and select Create Data Source, or click the Create Data Source button . 4 On the Reference Term Editor window, select Data Source from the Reference Term Editor List. 5 On the Data Source Editor dialog box, click Create. This step clears the fields to enter new data. 6 Type the code for the new data source in the Code block. 7 Type the name of the Data Source in the Name block. 8 Enter the applicable Data Source Type and Bitmap. Click display the Bitmaps Editor window and select the bitmap. to 9 Type a brief description of the data source in the Description block. 10 Click OK to save the new data source. The new data source appears in the Data Source list for the selected item in the tree view. Chapter 4 Configuration Management and Logs & Records Subsystem 251 Modify Data Source Properties The Data Source Properties option on the Data Source tab in the Assembly Catalog enables you to view or modify data source properties. 1 Open the Assembly Catalog (see "How to Access the Assembly Catalog" on page 247). 2 On the Assembly Catalog, click the specific assembly code. 3 On the Data Source tab, right-click the data source that you want to view and select Data Source Properties. -orClick the Data Source Properties button . The system displays the Data Source dialog box with details and usage parameters of the data source item. 4 To modify the data source and related tasks, see Usage Parameter (on page 253). 5 Click OK on the Data Source dialog box to save the changes. Assign Data Source This dialog box enables you to assign a data source to a selected assembly. 1 Open the Assembly Catalog (see "How to Access the Assembly Catalog" on page 247). 2 Click the assembly item in the tree view to display the associated data sources and usage parameters. 3 Right-click the specific data source in the Data Source tab and select Assign Datasource, or click the data source and click the Assign Datasource button . The system displays the Data Source Assignment dialog box with all the data sources in the database. 4 On the Data Source Assignment dialog box, click the data source and click OK. 5 On the Data Source [NEW] dialog box, enter the data source identification in the Name field. Select the appropriate usage parameter source and click OK. The new data source appears in the Data Source block for the selected assembly. 252 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA Data Source Assignment This dialog box lists all the data sources in the database and enables you to select a data source for an assembly item.
