Actual Sweep is the term used to describe the movement of changes that occurred on the detachment database that to be offloaded from the detachment and loaded to the squadron database. Actual Sweep Out offloads changes from the detachment. Actual Sweep In loads the changes to the home guard. For procedures, see the NALCOMIS OOMA System and Database Administration Guide, Appendix G. Load Items If you select the Load Items button from the INBOX selection group in the Group Explorer, it enables you to move the incoming inventory items and/or personnel to the PRIMARY selection group. # To move the incoming inventory items and/or personnel to the PRIMARY selection group: 1 Click the Incoming Inventory or Incoming Personnel tab. A list of inventory items and/or personnel appears. 2 Select the inventory item and/or personnel that you want to load to the PRIMARY selection group and then click the Load Items button or use the drag and drop (on page 21) method. 3 At the Messenger Service prompt that state the status of the inventory as it moves from the INBOX to the PRIMARY selection group, respond accordingly. Chapter 4 Configuration Management and Logs & Records Subsystem 169 Load Baseline Changes from Squadron to the Detachment Server Once the baseline changes to the squadron (parent organization) database is saved to a file and sent to a tape or e-mail, the changes are loaded to the detachment server. For procedures, see Load Procedures to DMS (on page 168). Note: On the Squadron or Detachment server, perform a backup anytime you perform Baseline Sweep, Actual Sweep, Partial Return, or Full Return. For more information, see the NALCOMIS OOMA System and Database Administration Guide, Appendix G. Load Changes from Detachment to Home Guard DMS The changes that occurred on the detachment database during the deployment period are saved to a file and sent to a tape as Actual Sweep. When the tape is loaded to the squadron database, it is called Actual Sweep In. For load procedures, see Load Procedures to DMS (on page 168). Once the tape (Actual Sweep In) is loaded to the home guard DMS, you can process the changes to update the parent (home guard) database before replication. 1 Open the Group Explorer (see "How to Access the Group Explorer" on page 151). 2 Right-click the designated detachment, choose Detachment Functions, and select Load Changes from DET. The detachment database changes updates the squadron database and sets them up for replication. Load Detachment Return Once you load the tape containing the returning detachment file to the squadron server using Load Procedures to DMS (on page 168), the SA or any other authorized personnel loads the returning detachment data to update the squadron database. # To load the returning detachment data to update the squadron database: 1 Log on to the squadron workstation. 2 Open the Group Explorer (see "How to Access the Group Explorer" on page 151).
