Note: RMVL tasks are not visible to the squadron user for uninstalled inventory, but will be visible when the inventory item is installed. The Task Definition tab consists of several tabs. These sub tabs enable you to perform related tasks. For procedures on the Task Definition tab, see the applicable topic listed under "In This Section." Create a Task Definition The Create a Task Definition tab in the Assembly Explorer allows the Baseline Manager (BLM) to create a baseline task against the aircraft, an assembly, or sub-component selected in the hierarchical WUC structure. Squadron users and foundation tiers are only allowed to view the Task Definition tab. # To create a baseline task: 1 Open the Assembly Explorer (see "How to Access the Assembly Explorer" on page 266). 282 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA 2 Click a sub-WUC/UNS from the tree view and click the Task Definition tab. -orRight-click on a WUC/UNS from the tree view and select WUC/UNS Properties. -orClick the WUC/UNS Properties button Definition tab. 3 Click the Create Task Definition button and select the Task . The Task Definition dialog box appears with the WUC/UNS prefilled and places the task in a BUILD status. 4 Select the Task Class and enter all appropriate data for the Task Details and Scheduling Interval tabs. When you are creating MOD Class tasks, after you select the TD task subclass, the TD Identification sub tab appears on the Task Details tab for the BLM to enter specific TD information including multiple TD kit numbers. Also, the Parts Transformation tab appears for TDs that require a part number change. 5 Click OK to save entries. Note: Squadron users can view all baseline tasks that have been placed as ACTIVE or in a BUILD status by the BLM, but can only initiate actual tasks or work orders for tasks that are in an ACTIVE status in the baseline. Duplicate a Task Definition The Duplicate Task Definition tab in the Assembly Explorer allows the Baseline Manager (BLM) to duplicate an existing baseline task against the aircraft, an assembly, or sub-component selected in the hierarchical WUC structure.
