Repair/Rework The Repair/Rework tab on the Logset Explorer enables you to create, duplicate, or modify/authenticate I-level and D-level repair, reconditioning, SDLM, conversion, modification, and modernization affecting the aircraft, equipment, and components. For other utilities and functions available on this tab, see Common Utilities and Functions in Explorers and Catalogs (on page 129). The Repair/Rework dialog box appears when you create, modify, or duplicate a repair/rework item. 1 Open the Logset Explorer (see "How to Access the Logset Explorer" on page 231). 2 On the Logset Explorer, click the Repair/Rework tab. 3 On the Repair/Rework tab, click the applicable button to create, duplicate, delete, or modify/authenticate repair/rework entries. For procedures, see the applicable topic listed under "In This Section." Create Repair/Rework Record The Create Repair/Rework option on the Logset Explorer Repair/Rework tab enables you to create a repair/rework record for aircraft, equipment, or repairable components. 1 Open the Logset Explorer (see "How to Access the Logset Explorer" on page 231). 2 On the Logset Explorer, click the Repair/Rework tab. 3 On the Repair/Rework tab, right-click on the repair/rework area and select Create Rework or click the Create Repair/Rework Entry button . 4 On the Rework/Repair [NEW] dialog box, enter in the applicable fields the remarks, reference, and date/time if other than the current date, and then click Apply or OK. The Signatures dialog box appears. Chapter 4 Configuration Management and Logs & Records Subsystem 245 5 If you are not authorized to sign for Logset entries, click Cancel in the Signatures dialog box to complete the transaction. -orIf you authorized to sign for Logset entries, type your Login ID and Password in the Signatures dialog box, and then click OK. Duplicate Repair/Rework Record The Repair/Rework Record option on the Repair/Rework tab in the Logset Explorer enables you to use the attributes of an existing repair/rework record to create a new one. 1 Open the Logset Explorer (see "How to Access the Logset Explorer" on page 231). 2 On the Logset Explorer, click the Repair/Rework tab. 3 On the Repair/Rework tab, right-click the repair/rework record you want to duplicate and select Duplicate Repair/Rework, or click the item and Duplicate Repair/Rework. 4 On the Rework/Repair [DUPLICATE] dialog box, enter the changes in the fields as needed. 5 Click Apply or OK. The Signatures dialog box appears. 6 If you are not authorized to sign for Logset entries, click Cancel in the Signatures dialog box to complete the transaction. or If you authorized to sign for Logset entries, type your Login ID and Password in the Signatures dialog box and click OK.
