Common utilities are special functions within the application that are
used to update the databases. For instance, to update portions of an
explorer or catalog regarding baseline changes, an update utility such as
Update Usage Parms from Baseline or Add New/Update Tasks from
Functions are those specific pre-programmed tasks that affect and control
the tree views or data windows.
These utilities and functions are accessible from the main menu or as
toolbar buttons that appear in specific windows, respectively. For
descriptions and procedures, see the applicable topics listed under "In
This Section." 130 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA CGPN Exceptions
The CGPN Exceptions window displays all the CAGE and Part Number
(CGPN) combinations that are documented on work orders in the
foundation tier (organizational maintenance, intermediate maintenance,
and depot maintenance levels). These CGPNs are in the system but are
not part of the inventory item's baseline structure. If the part number and
CAGE are legitimate, they can be added to the Parts Catalog.
This window enables personnel from the foundation tier to view and
delete the CGPN Exceptions list. If the part is legitimate, personnel must
inform the BLM, who creates the part and includes it in the database.
Records on the exceptions list are purged after the BLM adds them to the
CGPN table or after a period of 90 days. Users can also perform
common utilities and functions. For procedures, see Common Utilities
and Functions in Explorers and Catalogs (on page 129).
Note: A report is available in CM Reports that captures all applicable
CGPN exceptions used by an organization.
The following toolbar buttons are available:
