Loading Augment on the Detachment DMS This procedure enables the SA or any other authorized personnel to load the augment to the detachment that was saved on tape/e-mail on to the Detachment DMS. For procedures, see the NALCOMIS OOMA System and Database Administration Guide, Appendix G, or see Load Procedures to DMS (on page 168). Loading Augment on the Detachment Workstation This procedure enables the SA or any other authorized personnel to load the augment to the detachment workstation. For procedures, see Load Procedures - Detachment or Squadron (Home Guard) Workstation (on page 173). Create a Detachment The Create Group option in the Group Explorer enables you to create an initial detachment or return an existing detachment to its parent organization. Optimized NALCOMIS OMA is designed to identify an organization capable of deploying a SOD or DOD. The key information important to creating a detachment is its status (Disconnected). The Recommended Procedures for Creating the Initial Detachment is outlined in the NALCOMIS OOMA System and Database Administration Guide. If you encounter any problem with any of the procedures, contact SPAWARSYSCEN Norfolk, Optimized NALCOMIS OMA Fleet Support. # To create an initial detachment: 1 Open the Group Explorer (see "How to Access the Group Explorer" on page 151). 2 Click the Create a Detachment or Augment button . Chapter 4 Configuration Management and Logs & Records Subsystem 163 -orRight-click the PRIMARY selection group, choose Create Group, and select Detachment. -orRight-click the PRIMARY selection group, go to the Edit menu, choose Create Group, and select Detachment The Detachment [Initial (New)] dialog box appears. 3 In the Detachment [Initial] dialog box: ! In the To Organization box, select the detachment's destination from the list. ! In the Detachment box, enter the detachment name. ! In the Description box, enter the description, and in the Status box, enter the status (system defaults to Disconnected). ! In the Start and End Date boxes, enter the dates or double-click in the boxes to display the Calendar (on page 21) to select the dates. ! In the Begin JCN and End JCN boxes, enter the beginning and ending JCN serial numbers for Same Org Detachment (SOD). Different Org Detachment (DOD) has its own set of JCNs from 001-599. The JCN serial number range for SOD is 600-999. When more than one SOD detachment is active during any given time, the JCN serial number range must be assigned accordingly. For DOD, leave it as it is. 4 Click OK. The newly created detachment appears in the tree view. 5 Move non-essential inventory items or personnel.
