Unformatted text preview: Discrepancy block. Note 3: If the change is from U to P, a new WUC/UNS must be selected to appear on the newly created work order that reflects the system being affected. Note 4: In cases where a worker has already signed the work order and the need to change the SCIR status arises, the CDI should re-induct/reject the work order to remove the worker's signature. Correct a SCIR Code on a Work Order This is one of the tasks that can be performed while on the Basic Work Order Update (on page 421) window. If a discrepancy is initially reported as non-SCIR or SCIR related and later is determined to be of the other, the aircraft status (U/D/P) field is corrected appropriately to report SCIR from the time the work order is initiated. The aircraft status of U (up) can be corrected to read P (partial) or D (down) and vice versa at the date/time when the discrepancy was initiated except for reasons shown below: ! ! 1 Aircraft has flown since the date/time received. Parts have been ordered using the specific project codes AK0/706/756 or AK7/707/757 to avoid conflicts with material control procedures. Chapter 5 Maintenance Subsystem 425 5 Press tab a few times to ensure that the status and EOC codes are accepted. 6 Click OK. Note 1: SCIR correction allows aircraft status change from U to P or D, or from D or P to U. Note 2: The correction does not create a new work order. Note 3: The SCIR correction backdates changes to the Date/Time of the MCN initiation. Note 4: Validation checks for flight during that time span. If the aircraft has flown, the process stops promptly.
