Verify that these items are based on its WUC/UNS. 2 Enter the Reference/Nomenclature information if available. 3 Click Apply and then click OK to transcribe the failed material and requisition information on the Material Required data window and add the MCN to the list of MCNs awaiting Project/Priority Codes assignment from Maintenance Control. 4 To order another repairable part, follow steps 1 through 3. 5 Click Close to return to the Active Work Order Query window. Chapter 5 Maintenance Subsystem 437 Order Consumable Part The Order Consumable Part dialog box enables you to order a consumable part for a failed or required item. This dialog box also appears during a cannibalization process using the Cannibalization Wizard - Consumables Only (on page 380) option. For task overview, see Material Required (on page 435). 1 On the Order Consumable Part dialog box, enter CAGE, Part Number, Quantity Ordered, and Reference/Nomenclature. 2 Click Apply to transcribe the order to the Material Required window and add it to the list of MCNs awaiting Project/Priority codes from Maintenance Control as one of the online processing options. 3 Click OK to complete the process and return to the Material Required window. 4 To order another consumable part, repeat steps 1 and 2. 5 Click Close to return to the Active Work Order Query window. Add Failed Part Record The Add Failed Part Record dialog box enables you to record and order the consumable parts that contributed to the malfunction described in a work order. The data window identifies the index from H-Z, which indicates the number of defective parts associated with the discrepancy. The necessary data fields are provided to enable you to identify parts to be recorded and those to be ordered. The first record begins with index H. 1 First, see Material Required (on page 435) for task overview. 2 On the Add Failed Part Record window, enter the Action code and press Tab to display the long name. 3 Enter the Malfunction Code and press Tab to display the long name. 4 Enter CAGE, part number, and failed quantity. 5 Modify the default entry N to Y in the Create Requisition field to automatically order the parts, or bypass it to record that they contributed to the discrepancy. 6 Click Apply and then click OK to transcribe the Failed Part and Requisition information on the Material Required window and to add the MCN to the list of all work orders awaiting project and priority codes from Maintenance Control as one of the Online Processing options. 7 Click Close to return to the Active Work Order Query window. 438 User Guide Optimized NALCOMIS OMA Update Required Record The Update Required Record dialog box enables you to modify the existing material requisition for a repairable component. 1 First, for task overview, see Material Required (on page 435). 2 On the Update Required Record window, modify the available...
