Mission Mounted Equipment VED The Mission Mounted Equipment VED displays the current status of all MME items assigned to your organization. MMEs are external fixtures that maybe mounted on an aircraft, which enables it to perform its assigned missions. Examples of this equipment include photo, electronic countermeasures, gun pods, and in-flight refueling buddy stores. An MME is identified by its assembly code, which is developed by each aircraft BLM. The MME assembly code is similar to the aircraft's assembly code except that its first position begins with a 'B' instead of an 'A'. If the MME is installed on an aircraft, the aircraft Modex and Assy Cd appear on the VED. However, if the MME is not installed, only its Assy Cd appears; this Assy Cd begins with a B. You can select an MME item to display the list of related work orders and counts under each category heading (for example, AWM, AWP, IW, etc.) only if uninstalled. However, if the MME is installed on an aircraft, double-click the serial number and the Active Work Orders window appears with all applicable work orders against the selected aircraft, including those related to the installed MME. Personnel action on the work orders automatically updates the entries on the Mission Mounted Equipment VED. You can also click Refresh to manually update the MME status list.
