Andrew Rothman Due: February 11, 2008 COSC 111.101 Comcast vs. Verizon Paper When deciding what kind of internet, phone, and television provider you want to use, there a few things you may want to take into consideration. Two of the main companies that provide all three of these services are Comcast and Verizon. A few of the main components you would want to research while selecting your provider are speed, quality, and most important, cost. Other things besides these three things, or that involve these things may grab your attention too, things such as advertising, promotions, and customer service. As a former and current customer of one of each, I will give you my opinion as well as the stated facts of each company. The first thing that probably everyone looks at when selecting between basically anything is the price of that object. When looking at Comcast, they have a special deal going on where if you get all three of their services (phone, internet, and TV) then it would only cost you $99 a month, $33 for each appliance. The internet is cable internet and goes pretty fast (supposedly faster than Verizon), but in my personal experience, Verizon is faster and more efficient when it comes to the internet. The Television
