Four areas of identity – religious, political, gender, and vocational Moratorium Ethnic Identity – Acceptance and pride in one’s ethnicity is higher in emerging adults than in younger adolescents. 04/03/13 3 Personality New traits may emerge and negative ones may decrease. Increased well-being and overall self-esteem. Even children who were problematic generally grow up to be fully functional, happy adults. Less self-centered and more caring of others.
