Reflections 1 (. When I think about my roots, I think about Africa. I know some of my family on my father side is from Africa and they move to the United States in the 1950’s. I identify myself as African American, just because my mom is full American and my dad is African American so that’s what I choose to Identify myself as . 2 (. Some of the stories I’ve heard about my ancestors were that a lot of them were slaves, my great grandfather use to work in a mill for like 50 cents a day. I also was told that we were so poor that my family had a house that had 3 rooms in it, a bathroom, a very small kitchen and one bedroom that all my grandmother and grandfather kids slept in, including her. Also I’m related to Susan B Anthony, I’m from Rochester New York where she live her whole life, I move to Charlotte North Carolina when I was 15, so I got to visit her house a lot growing up.
