HTML Form Building Basic form markup makes use of HTML or XHTML. Forms are comprised of one or more input fields, which makes them useful tools of collecting data from user and handling that data to create an interactive experience. By default, a form has no interactive properties, and requires a specified ACTION and SUBMIT button to be functional. Individual form elements can also be used as navigation tools or to trigger interactive scripts, using scripting languages such as JavaScript or PHP.
