What is your definition of spiritual care? How does it differ or accord with the description given in the topic readings? ExplainIn my worldview spiritual care is one of the major element of holistic care and the need of spiritual care is intrinsic throughout the life. Providing spiritual care to patients make them social, hopeful and help them think positive. Spiritual care can be tied to religion or can be non-religious. Religious spiritual care involves helping patients pray for God, greet with prayer books and cards, and meet religious groups and chaplains. Nonreligiousspiritual care include nurses’ presence for patients and their families, making direct eye contact when communicating with patients, sympathizing with patients and their families,listening to patients and their families attentively, and having love and enthusiasm for patients.
