Recycling materials has a great history. It began when people started to realize that all of the natural resources our planet provides would not be around forever. Metal tools and weapons have been melted and reused since their creation. The paper industry has always used recycling because it is cheaper and more effective than cutting down millions of trees. During World War II, recycling was at its highest due to the fact that countries could no longer import the items that they needed. The natural resources of the Earth include natural gases that supply people with energy, water which is the most frequently used resource, and air that is in abundance (Too Good To T nkind can protect the planet to the best of its ability. iare s trees. Trees are cut down for many reasons such as se, par, gases (Global Warming). Greenhouse gases are composed largely of water vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and ozone. The small amount of infrared radiation that is passed through this thermal blanket is what keeps the planet at its natural temperature (GW).

Durable and nondurable goos lls are neither cheap, nor environmentally safe (TGTTA). Landfills generate hazardous gases that can pollute air, water, and soil. Among these wastes include cyanide, volatile organic compounds, mercury, dioxins, methane and non-methane organic compounds, greenhouse gases, hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, lead, and many other hazardous materials (TGTTA).
