Lumumba described the Belgian colonialism of the Congo as equal to slavery, racist, and partial to the white Belgians. How do you think this made Belgian listeners in the audience feel? I would think that the Belgian listeners would realize how bad they treated the Congolese. For the ones that didn’t know what had happened to the Congolese would feel terrible for what happened there in the Congo.
