College Life vs. High School Life The transition from high school to college is one of the biggest changes a student goes through. Leaving friends and family behind, the student goes out into the world alone. When this next chapter of life begins college freshmen are thrown for a loop. Everything is different and many changes take place. . High school and college life differ in housing, class schedules, and class structure. After the bell rings high school students around the country go home. When class is over the college freshman wanders back to the dorm room to catch an episode of The OC. Students in high school live at home, siblings and parents in the same house. College students don’t have that security. Mom can be as far as a thousand miles away. Housing is one of the major differences between high school and college life. Parents control many things and high school students are under their roof and need to listen to what they say, once in college all of that changes. “Sometimes it is tough not having a
