There Are No Children Here: Reaction I was shocked at the horrors that the two boys had to face and I do not think that I could deal with that even at my current age. The idea of living in constant fear of being shot or robbed, and never being able to let your guard would wear me down. I am not that good in stressful situations and if I would have to live that way everyday I would begin to breakdown the way Pharoah, but I do not know if I would be able to over come that life of fear. The boys had to deal with far too many crimes to count, crimes well over 50,000 that went to court in their Cook County Criminal Courts in the year 1988. Having that kind of violence around is just too much for anyone to deal with let alone child. They watched as people were killed right before them and had to go to many of their friends’ funerals. There is no way that I could deal with that kind of “hellish” life everyday!...
