Daniel Yun Section 2 Intro to Human Ecology Second Film Paper (#5) The problem in Third-World countries such as the Maragoli is that they are not educated . Sex education is one of the most important teachings . Sex education teaches safe sex, and the consequences when safe sex is not followed . Some consequences include: HIV, AIDS, overpopulation, and other negative effects. Through education, the Maragoli may learn that overpopulation destroys the state of their living conditions. The best approach to the issue of overpopulation is to educate the Maragoli. The main issue is that they lack education in general. Education teaches simple problem-solving techniques and specific skills. Once the Maragoli are educated, they may come to realize that overpopulation creates many problems pertaining to their living conditions. Standard living conditions comprise of several factors; Access to water, food and shelter. Overpopulation leads to less water and food because it means that they must feed more mouths.
