History 201-001 Formation of European Society November 27, 2007 Information on the Final Exam The Exam is Wednesday December 19 at 4:30-6:00 PM in 116 Bowden Hall The Exam will consist of two parts A. Two 500 word take-home essays (50 points) – Due at time of exam B. In class exam 1. A Map with comments (10 points) 2. Five short essay questions (one substantial paragraph – about 100-150 words) (40 points) More specifically: A. Take-home essays Write 500 word essays on two of the following questions/topics: 1. If one person can represent an historical era, who would you choose to represent each of the three eras we have studied this semester, Roman antiquity, the Middle Ages, and the Early Modern world to 1600, and why? Before you explain your choices (giving relevant biographical and historical data), indicate in one brief sentence where you think the line should be drawn between Roman antiquity and the Middle Ages and between the Middle Ages and the Early Modern era.
