Refers to raw technology, and concerns only with hardware, software and data components of and (IS). In contrast (IS) includes procedures, and people that produce information. Moore’s Law- The number of transistors on a chip doubles every 18 months. Has been essentially accurate over the past 40 yrs. In essence it states that the speed of a chip doubles ever 18 months.
