Euthanasia is a controversial topic in today’s society. It is a topic that challenges everyone’s views whether it’d be religious, political, or simply social. Think of a moment where you are diagnosed with a terminal illness. You have a month to live and are certain you will live through an unbearable pain. What would you do? assisted suicide, but how is this acceptable in society? It is still suicide, yet it is acceptable because it is under controlled circumstances. It’s still one human being killing another so why is it seen as okay? Killing another human being under any circumstances is wrong no matter what conditions. Passive euthanasia is when a patient is in coma or vegetable state; hence the patient is unable to communicate his or her own opinion.
