Google has reported an increase in of up to 50%. Hackers are using this pandemic and emotional time to strike at the human condition. Those who are not normally working from home no longer have coworkers next to them to help catch the emails. There has been an uptick in people using Zoom and Skype meetings to trick people into giving their login information freely. Also, with high stress situations any email that involves COVID or potential income altering emails would invoke a panicked response and lead to a mistake.
