1) Discuss the various causes, major events, and aftermath of the French revolution. Consider: what conditions in France fostered the revolution (direct and indirect). What were the major political events of the war? how did the war effect society, and what was the ultimate outcome of it? In the late 1700’s France was facing many domestic and international problems which led to the beginning of the French Revolution. The Third Estate of France was tired of being mistreated and felt the need to overthrow the current monarchy. Due to the economic, political and social standings the citizens of France began the revolution. The French Revolution accounted for many major events in history including the Tennis Court Oath, Storming of the Bastille, Reign of Terror and the introduction of Democracy in France. During the French Revolution there were many effects on society from the war in Austria and ultimately accounted for many effects on France after the revolution ended.
