Unformatted text preview: 4 1 Mole CuSO 4 =.0041077019 Moles CuSO 4 1 159.62g CuSO 4 1 Number of waters in the hydrate: .0215871254 Moles water =5 Waters in the hydrate .0041077019 Moles CuSO 4 Conclusion: The final formula of the hydrate is CuSO 4 • 5H 2 O. This is true because all of the measurements that were taken (all of mass) were extremely accurate, always within .05g of each other, most within .02g of each other and some exactly the same. From there, all of the math is very accurate and when rounded at the end comes out to 5 waters in the hydrate. There is no reason to doubt who the math came out since all significant figures were respected during the process so the answer is correct....

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
