Chapter 8 Question #6 Page 345 When it comes to an organization marketing products in a school they are often thinking of long term sales. Which is not an issue however, at a young age when ones views are shaped, it then becomes an issue. At a young age a child’s views are shaped especially when in the first few years of school and in the home. However, even at an older age when the child grows into being a college student their views and tastes are refined. But when it comes to an organization advertising in a school or in giving of equipment to college students, there should be restrictions on what is advertised and how it is advertized. When it came to being in elementary school, I can honestly say that I do not remember any organization sponsoring products. However, something that may have shaped my views on what products to use or buy is possibly from the textbooks and supplies that were used in school and or camp, because of stealth marketing towards vulnerable populations.
