Mitch Morgan BUS 651 Professor Waldeck 8 October 2013 Ingage Partners Speaker Summary The Ingage Partners is an interesting business. They spoke mainly about B-Corporations. Certified B Corporations are aimed at redefining success in business. They focus on three different aspects, called the “Triple Bottom Line”. Those are: profit, planet, and people. They want to redefine what it means to be successful by making those three targets equal. They feel as if they all should have equal value and should all be considered in your business. As a company itself, they donate 25% of their profit to charity, and that is where ‘people’ comes into play from the Triple Bottom Line. B-Corporations become certified by B-Lab, which is non-profit. Their ultimate goal, and mission, is to harness the power of business to solve social and environmental problems. They

You should never be satisfied. They are 5 reasons why a company should become a B- Corporation. Those are: Making good business better; it’s a useful marketing tool; bolster the bottom line; raise money for others; build momentum. In conclusion, this presentation was all about selling B-Corporations. There are plenty of businesses we know that are certified, such as: Ben&Jerry’s, Patagonia, method, Etsy, and and Better World Books. All in all, it is an interesting business tool that has grown immensely over the past 10 years....
