III Introduction The main goal of my project is Identify the process of optimizing my satisfaction with 2 constant variables Describe the tools of calculus involved in the solving process Independent Variables: X- hours spent shopping online Y- hour in which I start shopping, where 11 am = 0 Dependent Variable: Z- satisfaction level on a 0-100 scale on overall shopping experience Last semester I chose to study my satisfaction level as a function of how much water I drank on a daily basis. This semester, after being sent back to the drawing board to come up with an idea that was of interest to me, I discovered a topic that sparked my interest—shopping. I found that this idea would rouse my curiosity; I shop frequently throughout the week, whether by computer or by physically going to the mall or the store and browsing the aisles. With much consideration, I feel that I would have more accurate data to analyze if I specified the type of shopping I would perform. I decided internet- shopping would be the most rational type for a college student. I spend frequent hours sitting by my computer either impulse shopping or shopping for specific items. I considered the aspects that might be of influence to my satisfaction level of my shopping. I decided I would track the number of hours I spend shopping online and the time in
