I. Introduction A. Of Mice and Men is a story about two migrant workers named George and Lennie who look for a job during the Great Depression. This book by John Steinbeck focuses on the two main characters' friendship and struggles to find and keep a career in this economy. This book also talks about the mental struggle that Lennie faces trying to deal with his mental disability. B. This book shows the problems that arise with mental disabilities and shows how many disabilities might have been overlooked. To the point where people thought mentally disabled people were more violent than people without a mental disability. C. In the book Of Mice and Men, we can see the mental health that Lennie has to deal with. The country that I choose to do was South Korea. Mental health awareness in South Korea is not significantly represented and talked about. Talking about mental health is something that might be taboo there. Second Paragraph A. In the 1930s, several factors influenced Steinbeck in writing "Of Mice and Men." B.
