Problem 1
Solve for the internal forces in all the members of the truss in Fig. 1.
(Hint
: To check the accuracy of your answer, solve for the reaction forces first (using
equilibrium of the entire truss), and then impose equilibrium at all nodes. The final three
equations that you write will be identically satisfied if your result is correct.)
Problem 2
The two trusses of Fig. 2 ((a) and (b)) are subject to the same external loads. For both,
