Fabrice Rateau Kin 270 Lab Section: Fri 11:15 3/1/13 Bicycle Ride Case Study Part I 1. The body systems affected by rigorous exercise would be the cardiovascular and respiratory systems. The cardiovascular system is working harder to send blood to the different parts of the body. The respiratory system provides the oxygen that is in the blood being transported to where it is needed, mainly the muscles being used. 2. Joe is dizzy and has a headache after seeing bright lights. Joe is also feeling very fatigued. His muscles are tense and aching and his knees are stiff. He then passes out. 3. The increased load on the respiratory and circulatory systems don’t explain why Joe started to feel the way he did. Part II 1. The urinalysis may be helpful because it says that Joe’s urine is dark gold. His hematology is also helpful because of the abnormal RBC’s, WBC’s and hemoglobin in the blood. 2. From Joe’s lab work you may think that he is dehydrated because dark gold urine and an increased hemoglobin count are both symptoms it. His RBC and and WBC
