Oppression
Since the Tunnel of Oppression actually required those who came the last day to
sign up, and was booked full, not a very foreseeable occurrence, I decided to write my
thoughts on oppression in the world today.
Before discussing the role oppression plays
today, it is important to define it.
Oppression is the state of being kept down by unjust
use of force or authority.

It is not limited to races and religions, but also applies to
minority groups such as homosexuals.
Although there are global movements to eradicate
oppression, it is still prevalent in our world today.
It has been a problem in our world
since the earliest traces of history.
Until the late 1970s, the world saw racial segregation
of blacks, discouraging them and intimidating them into abstaining from voting.
Even
before that, during the late 1800s and early 1900s they were kept
as slaves and persecuted by groups such as the Ku Klux Klan,
and other discriminatory groups which targeted them specifically
