Physical therapy is the restoration or improvement of independent function. It also attempts to achieve the promotion of health in people of all ages. 2. What body system does the physical therapist consider in the patient evaluation? The musculoskeletal system is evaluated. 3. Distinguish between a Physical Therapy Assistant and a Physical Therapist. A physical therapy assistant assists the physical therapist in the provision of physical therapy. Most only have an associate degree. A physical therapist is at the post-baccalaureate level and that is either at the masters or doctorate level. 4. What are the physical demands of working as a physical therapist?

Describe the typical job duties for a physical therapist. They alleviate impairments by implementing and modifying therapeutic interventions. They also promote functional independence through instruction of patients in therapeutic exercise, cardiovascular endurance training, and training in activities of daily living. Lastly, they promote fitness, health, and quality of life in people of all ages. 6. List general categories of science coursework required of physical therapists. Biology, Chemistry, and Physics are all required coursework....
