Article Summary Alessandra Pietra EDIS 4440 The effective teacher of reading: Considering the “what” and ‘how” of instruction summary This article discusses the many qualities of effective instruction. It explores the techniques and types of instruction which promote student growth and education the most. Overtime, using research and data to guide instruction has been filtered into the education system. This allows educators to figure out and use what is actually proven to work. The article places a lot of emphasis on the importance of teachers providing good quality instruction in the classroom.
