Split Twin Experiment Most popular study conducted to evaluate the effects of genetics and the environment on development. Compares intelligence of identical twins that were separated at birth to intelligence of identical twins that were raised together. Results - Identical twins raised apart were very nearly as similar to each other as identical twins raised together were. - indicates that genetics plays the dominant role in determining intelligence - 70%
